Quackman and Bobbin

We had a wonderful day at the Bramhall Duck Race on Sunday. There were so many activites, great stalls to visit and fantastic displays and shows.

At our Beacon stall we had lots of information about how you can access services and get help when you need it. We also had an activity table for children with colouring, playdo and stickers. It was nice to see some of the parents using our mood cards to chat about different feelings and emotions. These are great for talking to children when they may not be able to put into words how they feel.

Our favourtite part of the whole day was getting to meet former clients of Beacon who had used our services and came to tell us how well they are now doing. It was amazing to hear the wonderful stories of how working with their counsellors they have changed their lives for the better. Thank you to those who came over to tell us this, you made our day.

Our duck, Quackman,  and his side kick Bobbin, didn’t do so well in their race but this doesn’t matter as they are still superheros to us and can rest in the office and become our new mascots. You can see some more photos by visiting  Beacon Counselling Facebook page

As the nominated charity for the Duck Race we would like to say thank you to Bramhall and Woodford Rotary for such a great day. The hard work and organisation that went into the event and the dedication of all of the volunteers made the day a huge success. We are very grateful to have been part of the day and we are looking forward to next year already.
