An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award winning team as a part-time Appointments Administrator. This will be based at our Big Lottery funded premises in Stockport.
We are looking for someone with an excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills, a flexible approach, and good IT skills. More important is a can-do attitude and a commitment to making the appointments service for clients the best there is.
We prefer that you have an understanding of the voluntary sector through voluntary or paid work, but this is not essential as we will provide thorough training and induction.
Beacon Counselling is a registered charity and exists to improve the lives of people experiencing mental and emotional distress. To achieve this Beacon provides counselling and related services at 23 locations across the borough of Stockport and beyond.
The Appointments Team arrange client appointments throughout the week. This role involves the following work pattern:
Hours: 18hrs 50mins per week.
Pay: £8.40 per hour rising to £9.00 per hour after satisfactory 6 month probation period
Shifts: Monday 1pm to 7pm, Tuesday 8.45am to 2pm, Friday 9.30am to 5.45pm with an unpaid 40minute break.
Holidays: 25 days a year and 8 days public holiday – pro rata.
In addition you would be expected to attend a 75minute office meeting every 8 weeks. This may not necessarily take place during you normal shift.
