Stockport Council Service
We offer a counselling service for Stockport Council employees at Beacon House on Middle Hillgate in Stockport town centre. The service is funded by Stockport Council and is no cost to council employees.
Our job is to help and support you through a difficult time, whether that is something in your personal or family life or a work-based challenge. We work closely with Stockport Council to provide the best service possible for you.
Our skilled counsellors can help with a range of issues such as:
- Work-related stress and work-based issues
- Bereavement and loss
- Family breakdown
- Childhood Abuse
- Domestic violence and abuse
There are two routes to receive support. You can talk to your manager about getting a referral, or ‘self-refer’ by contacting the health and safety team directly.
If you have any questions about how counselling can help or about Beacon, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. If you have any questions about getting a referral or the Employee Wellbeing Programme at Stockport Council talk to your manager or the health and safety team.
