There has never been a more important time to focus on mental health
Cllr Dean Fitzpatrick

After a 14-year career in IT which took him working around the world, Dean completed an Open University degree in social work and early years, and is passionate about using education for pleasure and as a way of offering people an opportunity to change their lives.
A message from the Mayor:
We are living in extraordinary times: 2020 and the effect of Covid-19 has brought upheaval and uncertainty to all of our lives. We cannot predict what the world will look like in a year’s time but if we are to come through this then we must act together.
We know that mental health problems are indiscriminate, that they can affect any one of us at any time. A lot of people are understandably struggling right now, and through no fault of their own. There has never been a more important time to focus on mental health and the devastating effects it can have on all of our lives if we just do nothing.
With a little help and support during this most difficult of times, every single one of us can live happier and more fulfilling lives. That is why I am proud to be supporting Beacon Counselling, and the amazing work they do promoting positive mental health for the people of Stockport.
